What
is Link Analysis and why do you need
it?
Each search engine has their own "set of rules" called
Algorithms which they follow to rank websites that are submitted
to their database. One of the rules that ALL search engines use
is the "Link Analysis" rule.
Link
Analysis
looks at what websites are linked to your website. In other words,
what other websites on the Internet are promoting your website?
Do they have a banner of yours on their site? A button? Or just
a text link for their visitors to follow.
If
there are no websites linking to yours, search engines will rank
you lower than other websites in your category. With so much competition
for rankings (there are 5 million websites
being submitted daily to search engines), search engines
have to set standards and limits and they follow them closely.
So,
how do you achieve these outside links? Through Link Analysis.
As your webmaster, American Business
Network, Inc. will search the Internet for websites that may compliment your website. Once we find
these sites, we email you, the website owner. You can review the other website and if you believe
that it would be complimentary to have their link on your site, American Business Network, Inc. will
send an email to the webmaster of the other website and request a reciprocal link. All links (such
as buttons, banner, etc.) will be placed on a new page on your website titled Resources. This is so
that the design of your site is not disturbed by what may seem like advertisement from other websites.
